Yesterday I was invited to an event hosted by the Italian American Chamber of Commerce. The event is a kind of lunch happening regular done jointly by some of the different Chamber of Commerce in Houston like the British, Swedish, Norwegian, Arab, Netherlands, Pakistan etc..
On this occasion it was “How nanotechnology is changing the energy industry”. I have been interested in the nanotechnology for composite materials to be used in our rotor blade system for Innowind, so I was teased and wanted to join this special lunch.
Dr Wade Adams Ph.D. is the Director of the Richard Smalley Institute for Nanoscale and Technology at Rice University. He has been US Force Senior Executive and he provides the leadership needed for incredible progress in studying revolutionary technology and potential application in medicine, electronics and energy.
The topic was founded in his statement: “Nanotechnology: making small stuff do big things.”
That nanotechnology will change the world in many ways in the future I am sure of after been listening to Dr Wade. What he could describe in things like Cancer research, electrical conductors development, Oil and Gas research and drilling activity and exploration. So I am ready to implement the research also to our composite.
I was lucky to get to meet him after the lunch and connection done to establish the possibility to enable us to implement nanotechnology research from the best university in the world on the subject. It is a question on being at the right place at the right time. Thanks to the Norwegian and the Italian American Chamber of Commerce for the invitation.
