Credit Card Challenges…

I must say we had a challenge when we purchased furniture on Saturday. Restriction put in on the new business credit card made us only pay 50% of the cost. When company people travelling all over the world, there should be a 24 hour service by a credit card company, but not in Norway. So we need to head back to the furniture shop today to pay the balance as we managed to get hold of service desk on the phone, they do not reply on e-mails in weekends (even it is late Monday afternoon he had not replied even he had seen the e-mail). As many know it is a bit embarrassing standing in a shop and credit cards do not work. Special when we know there should be no reason for it not to.
We bought books yesterday, I couple of small books of Crazy Stuff Texas and Stupid Texas to spice up my blog for us all to learn a bit more. I will also find books about Houston history and give some more input so it is possible to learn about local history. My wife got her book, a pink book, for those who know what it stands for I do not have to say more...
So my first little notes will be:
*
1995 there were 109 injuries and more than $2 billion in damages. Accounts of the storm included reports of “first-sized” hail that fell at 80 miles per hour.
*
When Mexican troops tried to retrieve a cannon from early settlers in Gonzales, Texas, on October 2, 1835, the Texans went to battle with a banner that read, “Come and Take It”, The Texans won.
*
More to follow…
