As I mentioned, I do not use the GPS, but prepare myself looking at Google Earth to find the place I am heading for and enter all information in the memory file (brain). Time will show if I managed all these roads and cross roads and find my way around. Until now it has been a success, even finding the furniture store a bit off track.
We had been on internet and selected our first choice of furniture. Star Furniture at 16666 Barker Springs Rd we headed and we did find it all except the beds for guest room. That we will not have all delivered next week is ok, but I feel mission completed and we will be ready to move in by end next week.
We noticed in the furniture shop the age of the people working there. In Norway they are fighting to leave at latest 67, it looked like that was the starting age in this shop.
After furniture was picked we headed for the smaller items like glasses, plates and cutlery. All in the apartment now and we did find it all local with a touch of Italy. Thoughts are all the way where we will use it at our next stop after Houston.
Experience by the way, it is important to keep an eye and know the cost of what you buy. In some of the shops we where into they did not manage make it correct first time so it was needed to point on the errors to have them corrected. Not that they do it by purposes, but it happens (to us 50% of the stores) so a good reason to be on alert
It is all a pleasure to be at the grocery. The selection is overwhelming with all the vegetables and wine, a great mix, some healthy and some not so healthy but both parts equally good and important.
The day was spent and ended up at the local Mexican restaurant 30 meter from our home at Domain. The waiter Jeff I am sure we will see a lot more of so he will serve us wine and Lobster Encellada like I had and Laila her Grilled Shrimp Salad. All tasted well, only thing missing was this time as well the possibility to walk home, next eek I can. (no wine this time)
